Our story
Surefoot Brickwork Ltd is a Doncaster-based bricklaying, groundworks and landscaping contractor with 20 years of experience serving homeowners and builders across South Yorkshire and beyond.
Owner Michael Kirkbride leads a team of 11 skilled tradespeople delivering everything from extension footings and structural brickwork finished to a high standard, through to complete garden transformations: patios, garden walls, driveways and bespoke landscaped spaces featuring outdoor kitchens, firepits and sunken trampolines.
That range matters to the people we work for. A homeowner extending a house does not want one contractor in the trench, another laying brick and a third landscaping whatever is left of the garden afterwards. Our clients get one accountable team from the excavation through to the finished outdoor space, which removes the gaps between trades where problems and delays usually live.
We work for homeowners and for builders and developers, and a good share of our workload is repeat trade work: the clearest signal there is that the standard holds up under professional scrutiny as well as domestic.

Our aim on every project is simple: work that is right at trench level, so it is still right in twenty years, and a client who knows exactly what is happening throughout.
Brickwork is judged on joints, coursing and consistency, and those are decided by the pace the work is done at. Our reputation is built on high-quality finishes, which means we set out properly and we do not rush the last course to leave site an hour earlier.
You are told what is happening, when it is happening and what changes if something is found in the ground. Clients consistently mention communication when they describe working with us, and that is deliberate rather than accidental.
Most of our work happens at somebody's home. The team behaves accordingly: tidy, considerate and easy to have around for the duration of the project.
Quotes are tailored to each project rather than taken from a one-size-fits-all price list. Ground conditions, access, materials and scope all change the real cost, so they all change the quote.
Every project carries a 2-year workmanship guarantee, with a 10-year warranty available on request, and we finish with a handover inspection walked through with you before we leave site.
